Counting down the days
I’m in such a good mood! I found out my Science Module GCSE results today and got an A in my re-sit1and a C in my second unit, which I’m really happy with2 I suppose the fact that it’s a Friday has added to the happiness too!
This Monday I’m going to the airport with five other students to jet off to.. GERMANY! *excitement!* I’m staying with a German student, Marianne (although it’s pronounced ‘MariannA’) who stayed at my house last year. I’m so excited, she was so lovely and the experience will be great! I’m part of my schools ‘Comenius Group’ called ‘Together In Europe’ in which we discuss things such as stereotypes, how other countries influence our own etc. with a school from France, Germany and Poland. The first meeting was held in Manchester (England) the second in Le Mans(France), the third in Warsaw (Poland) and now the final meeting in Hannover, Germany! We’ve all become really good friends with the students from other countries so it’ll be sad to leave Germany at the end of the week.
Luckily, the project is spoken in English, so my knowledge lacking in the French department (fortunately!) won’t be put to the test, despite having studied it for Four Years at school! Plus, I don’t speak a word of German so I’m hoping her family speak English, unlike the Polish student I stayed with. I never really get homesick. I know I sound like a heartless git but you’re that busy you barely even have time to think about missing home. Also, it’s only from Monday-Saturday so time will wiz by! :’(
AND I get to use my new camera!
Win win situation.
Liam’s jealous as hell, as we’ll also be visiting one of the main Volkswagen manufactuer places – something to do with Volkswagen anyway… as you can tell I’m uber excited!
Not.
Speak soon mes amis!
